President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law ratifying the agreement between Russia and unrecognized South Ossetia as to the order of certain departments of the unrecognized South Ossetian army integrating into Russian Armed Forces. The law was published on the official website of legislative information.

The agreement was signed on March 31, 2017. It envisages that when signing a contract for serving in the Russian army, a citizen must be discharged from service in the so-called “armed forces of South Ossetia”.

After that, this citizen can serve in the Russian army according to the Russian legislation.
