The Russian President Vladimir Putin states that he considers Sergei Skripal a scum and national traitor, and the scandal with the poisoning of the ex-GRU officer and his daughter is artificially blown, as Interfax reports.

“Speaking of Skripals, it’s just another spy scandal, which is artificially blown way out of proportion… I see that some of your colleagues are pushing the theory that Mr. Skripal is almost a human rights activist. He is just a spy. A traitor. There is such term – national traitor. And he is one of them,” the Russian President stated.
