Russia's leading diplomatic authority briefly commented on the recent words of Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko; he said his country needed a 'cold peace' with Russia. RIA Novosti news agency reported that quoting Mariya Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian foreign ministry.
'Poroshenko had a chance for global peace - both inside his country and around the world; it was about living up to Minsk agreements', she said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the head of the Ukrainian state officially claimed he would run for the presidency once again.
'We need peace with Russia - a cold one, but still the peace. People got tired of war. The Russian propaganda and its liars have been playing with this tormenting emotion tirelessly', the leader of the state said during his speech at a forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
