Four people were detained in Russia in the case on pollution of oil in Druzhba pipeline, as TASS news agency reported, citing Alexandr Novak, Russia's Minister of Energy.

Russia’s Energy Ministry suggests controlling the quality of oil daily. If government confirms it, there might be amendments to legislation on the inspection process.

As Novak put it, one pipe string of Druzhba pipeline will be cleared in each direction in late May.

Besides, the current situation with polluted oil did not influence its production. Soon, Russia’s Energy Ministry expects the beginning of a pump to Poland.

Earlier Belarus has temporarily stopped the export of the light oil products to Ukraine, Poland, and the Baltic States. The reason was the supply of the poor-quality oil from the Russian Federation.
