More than 40 people including minors were taken to police vehicles in Moscow downtown due to attempt to hold protest action, Interfax reports referring to the source in law enforcement agencies.

"More than 40 people are currently taken to police buses, minors among them," interlocutor of the agency said.

According to him, most of the detained people are representatives of nationalist organizations and groups.

There is no official information about detentions from law enforcement bodies yet.

The representative of "New opposition" organization in turn told the agency that about 40 people were detained at Triumfalnaya Square, saying that the people are in paddy wagons.

Earlier it was reported about the gathering of young people at Triumfalnaya Square who announced their action as the "walk of new opposition".

Moscow police enhanced security measures at Manezhnaya Square and Red Square on Sunday due to possible protest action today.
