The U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the explosion of a nuclear reactor in Arkhangelsk region, Russia, which killed five workers of Rosatom. The American leader left a critical comment on his Twitter.
The United States is learning much from the failed missile explosion in Russia. We have similar, though more advanced, technology. The Russian “Skyfall” explosion has people worried about the air around the facility, and far beyond. Not good!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 12, 2019
American outlet New York Times referring to the source in American intelligence assumed that the explosion on the testing ground in Arkhangelsk region could happen while testing Burevestnik, experimental nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed cruise missile.
“But United States intelligence officials have said they suspect the blast involved a prototype of what NATO calls the SSC-X-9 Skyfall,” the news agency reported.
On August 10, an explosion of a nuclear reactor occurred in the White Sea. Five workers of Rosatom died.
Later, the leadership of the Russian nuclear center which deals with the development of nuclear weapons shared the details of the explosion near Arkhangelsk.
