Opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who joined the protest against corruption, was detained in Moscow. Navalny was arrested when he was walking on Tverskaya Street, according to Meduza.

Protesters who were near Navalny at that moment blocked the police bus, where politician was placed, not letting it drive away from detention scene.

As it was reported earlier, about 15 people were detained in Moscow during anti-corruption protests.

According to witnesses, OMON officers used batons.

Navalny himself urged "not to fight for him", calling people to keep walking down the street, as the main aim today’s rally is "fight against corruption".

It is noteworthy that anti-corruption action was planned in Russian cities on March 26, dedicated to the investigation by Alexei Navalny, the opponent of current president Putin. regarding the property of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
