Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis offered to lay down conditions for Russia in exchange for the launch of Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

The Baltic Times cited the official who described the U.S.-Germany deal on the pipeline as a mistake.

"I believe it's a mistake, and it will cost us a lot. I see an opportunity to correct this mistake... if Ukraine gets an action plan of NATO membership, or if the launch of the pipeline will be used as a leverage for the demand to take the Russian troops away from Ukraine", Landsbergis said.
