Western literary agency refused to represent the interests of Russian writer after his appointment as deputy commander of battalion on work with “DPR” personnel

Wiedling Literary Agency which represents the interests of Russian-language writers in the West ceased to represent writer Zakhar Prilepin, according to BBC.

It is noted that the agency, headquartered in Germany, ceased cooperation with Prilepin after the messages on his becoming deputy of one of the “DPR” commanders.

"The agency continues to fulfill its contract commitments to all partners-publishers, who are publishing Prilepin’s translated literary works, however the agency will donate its possible profits from these services to Amnesty International human rights organization," chief of the agency informed.

As it was reported earlier, Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin has taken the position of the deputy commander of battalion on work with “DPR” personnel since October 2016.
