Russia considers the idea of Ukraine on joint patrols with NATO in Black Sea as provocative. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, "RIA News" informed.

"Regarding some initiatives, the Ukrainian side has many of them, and these initiatives, in my opinion, are already beginning to cause some fatigue from our partners. We are convinced that in regard to Black Sea, all decisions should be taken by coastal States, particularly those which concern security. That is why we consider the idea of Ukraine as well as the idea of our Romanian Black Sea neighbors about creation of a permanent group of NATO, provocative. We also hope that the situation will calm down now, and our Romanian partners will also make right conclusions for themselves,” Lavrov said.
