Representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate have addressed the ECHR as to the attack on the Temple of Volodymyr and Olha in Simferopol, as Simferopol archbishop Klyment told Krym.Realii.

“The European Court on Human Rights has accepted this referral, registered it. The events of August have consolidated the society even more, people understand that the church can be closed at any time,” he said.

On August 31, 2017, the church was attacked by Russian “law enforcement” based on the decision of Crimean “court”, and its possessions were taken away. The officers used force against the archbishop and didn’t let him into the temple.
