The representatives of Kremlin stated that they would not make compromises for the U.S. after it was announced that Russian President Putin and his American colleague cannot meet till Russia releases Ukrainian vessels and POWs, as Dmytry Peskov, the Spokesperson of the Russian President, said, Interfax reported.
“Certainly, such position cannot be a reason for violation of the trial and investigation conducted on the violators of the Russian state border,” Peskov said.
He also stated that both of the parties need this meeting.
“We are convinced that this meeting is necessary both for Moscow and for Washington,” Peskov noted.
He stressed that “the Russian side, as Putin said, preserves readiness to hold bilateral meeting on a high level and other meetings on different levels to discuss urgent issues which concern our states and the question of a strategic security of the whole world”.
As it was reported, John Bolton, the U.S. President Advisor for National Security, stated that the meeting of Putin and Trump is impossible until Russia returns Ukraine its vessels and releases POWs.
