The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about negotiations with the Europeans and explained why he supports Russia so often at the press conference in Minsk.

“One should look further, deeper regarding these issues and try to understand me. I can’t be a puppet, yesterday I have signed a document, and today I stand up and start screaming. However, I always tell the Americans and to the West. Seriously, even for the 10th time, the 20th, I had to support Russia. They asked: “Why?” You have an independent position…” I say: “It’s not about an independent position. I had a dialogue with the Europeans, a couple of times. When Washington makes a decision, an absurd and glaring decision, you can’t wait to support it. Why shouldn’t I support Russia even if it contradicts common sense, while you do this all the time,” he stated.
