Germany must not be silent about Crimea in dialogue with Russia

Minister of Defense and Head of Leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer drew the authorities' and politicians' attention on the inadmissibility of silence about illegal annexation of Ukrainian peninsula Crimea by Russia. She stated that during the performance in front of the activists of the Junge Union Deutschlands, as Tagesspiegel reports. 

"Yes, we should have good neibourghly relations with Russia. But the international law was violated in Crimea. And Germany must not just be silent. Violation is violation, we should call the things by their names!" she commented on her attitude towards annexation of the peninsula by the Russian Federation.

She also emphasized on the pressure of the Russian propaganda on the Baltic countries.
