In Russia, a fire broke out on the reserve gas pipeline near Voronezh. This is reported by Interfax.

"In the Kantemirovsky district of the Voronezh region, a gas pipeline with a diameter of 1200 mm was depressurized. After the depressurization, the gas pipeline caught fire and a fire torch appeared," the agency noted.

As a result of the incident, the gas supply to surrounding settlements was not hindered, at the moment the fire is extinguished.

Earlier Nabu environmental association challenged the permission to build and operate the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline in Germany, which Nord Stream 2 received earlier this year.

Environmentalists filed a lawsuit to the Superior Administrative Court of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern against the decision of the mining administration of the German city of Stralsund to authorize the construction of a pipeline in the territorial waters of Germany.

Thus, Nabu tries to prevent the planned start of construction work in May.

"We see blatant violations in the methods of research and we doubt that the pipeline will not cause serious consequences for the marine environment," explained Nabu expert Kim Detloff
