Tanker Gaselys of French company Engie that have been delivering Russian liquified natural gas to Boston turned around in the Atlantic Ocean one day before it was due to be delivered, as Bloomberg informs.

According to the agency, the tanker made a U-turn and is heading towards Spain’s port of Algeciras near Gibraltar.

The cargo was sent to Boston due to the freezing temperatures that dominated the U.S. northeast earlier this month, sending prices to records. The shipment drew the attention because some of its gas was from the project that has been under financial sanctions imposed by the U.S. in 2014 after President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine’s Crimea.
