Fire in Kemerovo: 64 people listed as missing, - Russia’s Investigative Committee

According to Russia’s Emergency Service, no one is missing in the result of the tragedy

64 people are listed as the missing in the result of the fire at the shopping mall in Kemerovo as the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported.

‘During the investigative actions and special investigation activities for the check of the claims about missing people three persons out of 67 were established as alive. So, at the moment, the investigation has the claims about the loss and death of 64 people during the fire at the shopping mall’, the message said.

At the same time, Russia’s Emergency Service reported on March 28 that there is no data about missing people in the result of the fire in Kemerovo.

As it was reported earlier, the shopping mall caught fire in the Russian city of Kemerovo on March 25. According to the Emergency Service, the fire occurred on the fourth floor where the cinema and children’s playgrounds were situated. The Investigative Committee of Russia considers two version of the tragedy: short circuit or use of the open fire.

According to the last data, 64 people died. It was noted that 41 of them are children. As at March 28, 27 bodies were identified. Five people were detained due to the tragedy.
