Famous Russian satirist Mikhail Zadornov died, as his colleague Roman Kartsev confirmed to RBK

The comedian and writer had brain cancer. In June, he refused from chemotherapy as he found the treatment exhausting and painful, and he decided to spend time with his family instead.

Zadornov was famous for his satiric performances, broadcasted over Russian state TV channels.

In Ukraine, Mikhail Zadornov was a persona non-grata, as on March 11, 2014, he signed the address of Russian cultural workers in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions in Ukraine, including Crimea.
