The prolongation of sanctions against Russia will send its economy in the knockdown. Such an opinion expressed the People’s Deputy of Ukraine faction "Block Poroshenko" Vladimir Ariev on air at 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
"Continuing the sanctions, which are quite painful for Russia, where the domestic situation is catastrophic, because, as far as I know, it remains on the stabilization fund and reserves in the budget of the Russian Federation. The continuation of sanctions yet for 2017, it is, if not deadly, but will definitely harm the Russian economy. Therefore, Presiden Putin will have to somehow steer out of this situation. It's a long and exhausting process. In this case, either Putin performs his part of the Minsk agreements, or should he forget that sanctions against Russia will be, at least mitigated, not to mention the fact that removed", says Ariev.
Recall that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko issued a decree that enacted decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from September 16, 2016 "On application of special personal economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)".
According to the document, the National Security Council decision as of 16 September provides the extension of the use of personal and special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions), made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine.
