The large-scale drills of the Russian Airborne Troops began at the territory of annexed Crimea as Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, over 1,500 paratroopers, over 300 hardware units and military aircraft, including planes and helicopters, large landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet are involved in the drills.

“Parachuting of the personnel and military hardware from the planes of the military transporting aviation will take place. The landing of the Airborne Troops detachments from the military landing ships for the seizure and destruction of the control points of the hypothetical enemy and training camps of the illegal armed formations will be the most spectacular parts,” the message said.
