Dozens of people were detained in Moscow during a rally in support of political prisoners near the "Chistyye Prudy" metro station. This was reported by "Interfax".

The representative of the "New Opposition" announced the detention of more than 40 people.

"This people’s gathering had not been agreed, therefore detention began immediately. More than forty people are currently detained," one of the leaders of the organization said.

The main topic of the rally is the requirement to coordinate the first anti-crisis meeting and the support of political prisoners, including Ildar Dadin. The event was not agreed with the city authorities.

According to eyewitnesses, the police brutally detains people present at the event. At the same time it is reported that the detention was carried out on the orders of the deputy chief of the department to ensure the holding of mass events Alexander Makhonin.

One of the detainees, Vladimir Zalishchak wrote on Twitter that a woman delivered in the paddy wagon felt sick, an ambulance was called. About 50 people gathered in total, according to Zalishchak.
