The police of Arkhangelsk region (Russia) detained Benes Ayo, the mercenary of the so-called DNR, Donetsk People's Republic. He is known by the alias Black Lenin. Regnum reported that with the reference to Dmitriy Sarayev, the member of the Russian Communist Party.

The detained militant is well known among the supporters of leftist political views. Born in Latvia, he joined this movement and became its active participant. Lately, Benes has served with Russian militants in Donbas.

According to Sarayev, Ayo was detained in Yarensk village, Arkhangelsk region. The man came there to support the protesters of spoil disposal construction in Shyes settlement. The interlocutor told the news agency that the militant was detained under the request of Ukraine. He may face deportation now.

"He's Russian, although his skin is black. He's wanted in the Baltic States and currently fights in the DNR as a militia fighter. He's a member of the DNR Communist Party", Sarayev said.

So far, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies did not confirm the information.
