Death toll in Magnitogorsk rises to 38 people

A woman was found dead under the rubble of a building in Magnitogorsk that collapsed due to the gas explosion. This was stated by the Russian Emergency Service to Interfax news agency.

The rescue services are trying to find another three people under the rubble. As for January 3, the rescuers pulled 44 people from under the collapsed house; 38 of them died, including six children. Six people, two of them children were saved.

Today, some residents will be able to enter their flats and take all the necessary things and documents. They will be accompanied by the rescuers.

As it was reported earlier, an explosion occurred in a residential building in Magnitogorsk (Russia). As a result, the entrance of a ten-story residential building collapsed.

A gas leak was defined as the preliminary cause of the explosion.

First, it was reported about 37 fatalities. Mykhail Yurin, the representative of the press office of Emergency Service Central Office in Chelyabinsk oblast said that 22 people, including three children were identified.
