The lawyers of Russian opposition activist Ildar Dadin turned to the European Court of Human Rights complaining the defendant is illegally being detained in Colony #5 in Altai Krai after the decision ordering his release. This was reported by his wife on Twitter.
Earlier the Social Monitoring Commission of Altai Krai has announced the unscheduled inspection of the colony to find out the conditions of Dadin’s detention. The Commission stressed that the colony does not have any reason to keep Dadin despite the fact that the rule of the Supreme Court was not yet delivered there.
As it was reported earlier, the Presidium of the Supreme Court of Russian Federation has overturned a conviction against opposition activist Ildar Dadin, who was earlier sentenced to three years in prison (reduced to 2.5 years later) for repeated breaches of public assembly rules.
