Another Crimean Tatar was detained on the administrative border between Kherson and occupied Crimea, as Nariman Dzhelalov, Deputy Head of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, wrote on Facebook.
“Reşat Medinov, a Crimean Tatar born in 1994, during crossing Armyansk checkpoint from Crimea to the continent was detained by the officers of Border Guard Service of Russian Security Service,” he told.
According to Krymsos, Medinov’s relatives could not get any information about the detainee from the representatives of Russia’s Security Service. The reasons for the detention were not revealed as well. It is unknown where is he now.
Earlier, the court in Crimea sentenced Oleksandr Steshenko, Kharkiv resident, to two years of imprisonment. He was found guilty of arson of the house of Russian mufti. Steshenko was also detained during crossing Crimea’s administrative border in April, 2018.
