COVID-19: 874 servicemen infected with coronavirus in Russia

From March to April 26, 874 Russian servicemen were diagnosed with COVID-19, Interfax reported.

Four servicemen are in severe condition, one of them is tethered to an artificial lung ventilation machine. 15 people remain in a state of moderate severity - the rest have no clinical manifestations of the disease.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, there are 314 patients in the hospitals of the military department, 175 people are in isolators, six people are in medical institutions of the health care system, and 379 - are isolated.

As we reported earlier, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin prolonged the quarantine in Russia until May 11 as the number of those infected with Covid-19 in the country reached 93,558.

"We are no approaching a new, perhaps the most intensive stage of combat with the pandemic," he said during the video conference with 85 Russian governors. 

As of now, this country is ranked eighth in the world in terms of the Covid-19 morbidity rate. On April 28, 6,411 new cases were confirmed. The disease claimed 867 lives in it.
