Prisoners exchange between Ukraine and Russia in the “all for all” is possible if the experts bring closer the vision of the respective lists by the sides, as the Press Secretary of Russian President Dmytro Peskov said on July 18, Interfax reported.
“A perfect format “all for all” was mentioned during the telephone call, it was said that it would be better to use it,” Peskov said.
“At the same time, it was stated that Russia and Ukraine understand the word “all” in different ways. Therefore, the experts should bring this moment to better understanding, then the implementation might be possible,” Peskov noted.
Peskov did not answer the question whether it was about Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov: “I will not talk about personalities, I am talking about a principle”.
As we reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin for the first time on July 11. The conversation happened upon the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
Later, it was specified that the politicians discussed the release of 24 Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait in November 2018.
Putin and Zelensky came to an agreement to continue the work on the expert level. Besides, state leaders talked about continued cooperation in the Normandy format.
