The conscripts from Crimea were sent for service to the territory of Russia on May 31 as Kryminform reported citing the recruitment center of Crimea.
“The conscripts will be transported by military transport aviation to the places of their further service - at the units and detachments of the Aerospace Forces and Airborne Troops,” the message said.
“As for today, we fulfilled one-third of the set task on the spring draft call. Today we send 152 persons to the Western Military District; they will serve in Moscow area,” Oleg Ermilov’s recruitment center stated.
Besides, the website reports that about 500 Crimean citizens were sent for service to Russia, totally about 1,000 people were called up for duty during the draft, which started on April 1.
The Crimean Human Rights Group reminded that the military draft of the citizens of occupied territories to the army of occupant and unending propaganda of the service with the Russian Army on the territory of the Crimean peninsula violate the Article 51 on the Protection of the civilian population, and transfer of conscripted citizens of Ukraine from the occupied territory to the territory of Russia violates Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
