Zinedine Zidane, legend of French football and currently coach of Real Madrid, called on French people to vote against Le Pen. This was reported by Reuters.
"It is the same as in 2002, that I am far away from those ideas, from the National Front, and that we have to avoid it as much as we can," Zidane said during the press conference.
Zinedine Zidane already stood against the far-right party in 2002 in the second tour of presidential elections, warning against Marine Le Pen’s father Jean-Marie Le Pen. Jacques Chirac became the president of France back then.
