President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman claimed that he does not intend to apologize for his words that ‘the annexation of Crimea is a solved case’ because it is his own opinion. He claimed this at the interview as Prague Monitor reported.
Zeman claimed that he does not intend to apologize for his words about the annexation of Crimea by Russia because it is his own opinion and he never apologizes for his opinion.
According to him, Ukraine cannot demand from him any official excuses because the issue is about his own attitude. If Ukraine did it he would refuse as he usually does in such cases.
It is noted that Zeman is well-known by his tough talks and support of Russia and China.
Zeman noted in the mentioned interview that he already told that the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia is in the past and the attempt to return the peninsula to Ukraine can cause the big war.
‘The fact that Crimea is owned by Russia is the most important and I cannot imagine any Russian government that will refuse from Crimea’, Zeman said.
Earlier Czech President Milos Zeman claimed that he thinks that the annexation of Crimea by Russia is a solved case and offers to resolve an issue by means of benefits to Ukraine during his speech at PACE. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic called this statement cynical and absolutely unacceptable. Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin noted that it is necessary to react not at the statement of Czech President Milos Zeman towards Crimea but at the motivation of people who offered him to speak.
President Petro Poroshenko claimed that Crimea is not a trade-off. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman thinks a healthy person will never say such thing.
