Zelensky’s visit to Japan cost Ukraine almost 80 thousand dollars

Working visit of an official Ukrainian delegation to Japan led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky cost 80,2 thousand dollars. This was reported by the State Administration of Affairs as a response to the request.

"In order to provide a working visit of an official delegation to Japan led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky from October 20-25, 2019 and an advanced team that prepared the visit, the State Administration paid travel expenses in the amount of 80.2 thousand dollars and 7,4 thousand dollars, and also the services of the translator in the amount of 2,8 thousand dollars. Besides that, the preliminary payment for air transportation was made – 200 dollars," the State Administration of affairs noted.

As we reported earlier, during his working visit to Japan, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Tadamori Oshima, Chairman of the House of Representatives (lower house of the Japanese Parliament), and Akiko Santo, Chairman of the House of Councillors (Upper House of Parliament). This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The parties reportedly discussed reforms and attracting investment to Ukraine.

Zelensky thanked the leadership of Japanese Parliament for supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the newly formed parliamentary group of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on inter-parliamentary relations with Japan.
