Zelensky's guard strengthened before second round of elections, - minister

The National Police provided the candidate's security yet in the first round; the incumbent President Petro Poroshenko has his own bodyguards from the State Guard Service

The National Police of Ukraine has reinforced the guard of presidential candidate Zolodymyr Zelensky before the second round of the election. Arsen Avakov, the Interior Minister of Ukraine said this as quoted by UNIAN news agency.

'He received guards from the National Police. And he had this guard since the first round; it's just when Zelensky made it to the second round, we boosted these defenses, of course', Avakov said.

Previously, Zelensky's HQ turned to the Interior Ministry, asking the State Guard Service to provide his security.

Previously, presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky had a quarrel during the talk show at 1+1 TV channel. It appears that they could not agree on the date of the debates at NSC Olimpiysky.
