President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky withdrew from the Verkhovna Rada a resolution on local elections. The first deputy chairman of the parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, announced this information, as broadcasted by the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
Stefanchuk said that Zelensky sent a letter to the Verkhovna Rada in order to remove projects No. 3809 (on the appointment of local elections, ed.) and No. 3708, 3708-1 on salaries of officials from the current agenda.
RBC-Ukraine, citing a source, reports that the reason for the recall is an incorrect description of how elections will be held in the district councils.
As we reported before, Ukraine's government recalled a draft decree No.3827 from the Parliament. The document offers to appoint Oleg Urusky as Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Branches of Ukraine's Industry.
RBC-Ukraine referred to its source in the government, claiming that the draft decree was withdrawn because of a technical error. The document will be submitted for Parliament's consideration again. Urusky is still the candidate for this office.
