President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was vaccinated against coronavirus during a working trip to the Donbas conflict area. President wrote about this on Twitter.

Zelensky was vaccinated with CoviShield, which is licensed by the Oxford/AstraZeneca and produced by the Institute of Serum in India.

"Got vaccinated against COVID19. Did this on the frontline with our soldiers as Supreme C-in-C. The same Oxford/AstraZeneca (Covishield) from India, which was delivered 1st to Ukraine and received by millions of people in the world. Vaccine will let us live without restrictions again," he wrote.

Earlier, Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov got himself vaccinated, too. He became the first among top-rank Ukrainian officials who received their dose of the vaccine. According to the official, such step is necessary to reduce the amount of fake reports and manipulations in terms of safety and efficiency of the vaccine.
