Head of the Ukrainian state Volodymyr Zelensky wants to involve the United States in the negotiation process regarding the solution to the Donbas conflict. Zelensky said so during the briefing.

"I'd like the U.S. to help us in the matter of peaceful regulation in Donbas. It will be a part of the Normandy format, if the members say yes to it; or it could be part of some other format. It's a matter ofnegotiations. I will have a meeting with Biden, and I will bring it up", Zelensky said.

According to the official, he still hasn't had a chance to discuss it with Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor.

Earlier on Monday, Merkel claimed that Minsk agreements are being fulfilled too slow.

Prior to that, Zelensky met with the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The president was particularly interested in such a reform as de-oligarchization. He expressed hope that it would make the Ukrainian investment climate more transparent, more attractive to German companies, and this would lead to a greater flow of investment to Ukraine," Zelensky's press secretary said.
