Zelensky urges parliament to dismiss Prosecutor General of Ukraine Lutsenko

Besides, Zelensky asks to appoint Prystaiko as Foreign Minister

President of Ukraine appealed once more to the Verkhovna Rada with the urge to dismiss Yuriy Lutsenko from the post of the prosecutor general, Pavlo Klimkin from the post of the Foreign Minister and appoint Vadym Prystaiko.

The issue is about three regulations:

#10380 on the provision of agreement on the dismissal of Y.V. Lutsenko from the post of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine by the president of Ukraine,

#10381 on the dismissal of P.A. Klimkin from the post of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine,

#10382 on the appointment of V.V. Prystaiko at the post of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine.

“Considering the mentioned and in correspondence with the regulations of points 12, 15, of part one of article 85, points 10, 11, part one of article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine I ask to urgently consider the mentioned issues,” the message said.

As it was reported, on May 30, Ukraine’s Parliament registered three presidential draft judgments on the dismissal of Defense Minister, head of Security Service, and Foreign Minister.

On June 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to dismiss Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, and Head of Security Service Vasyl Hrytsak.
