President Volodymyr Zelensky assures that Ukraine has enough gas reserves for consumers. He stated this in an interview with ICTV TV channel.

"I want to reassure everyone. Today there is enough gas for society, enough gas for consumers at very normal prices, compared to European prices," Zelensky said.

And, commenting on the host's remark that several cities have already introduced a state of emergency in the energy sector, Zelensky stressed that the heating season is the responsibility of both the central and local authorities.

“Therefore, we signed a memorandum in which there are two main things, NJSC Naftogaz and the central government guarantee two things: a specific stable price and a stable volume. Then there are technical issues, legal issues and political issues of some local government representatives. I am sure it will be settled. In any case, it will be a normal price," Zelensky said.

As a reminder, at the beginning of October Ukraine suspended the injection of natural gas into its underground storage facilities (UGS).

At the same time, in early September, the head of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, Yuriy Vitrenko, said that Ukraine had accumulated more reserves in its underground gas storage facilities than the Cabinet of Ministers had planned - up to 19 billion cubic meters.
