Zelensky to sign decree on Covid-19 vaccination in near future, - Defense Council's Secretary

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov announced the preparation of a decree on the situation with vaccination, which President Volodymyr Zelensky will sign in the near future. Danilov told about it on air of Ukraine 24 TV channel on Friday evening, April 2.

"7 questions were discussed at today's meeting. The key issue - the situation related to vaccination, we have made a decision, and in the near future there will be a presidential decree on this matter," Danilov said.

Also, according to him, at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, the issue of the customs service and the application of sanctions against 10 persons directly related to smuggling was considered. This work will be continued at the next meetings, the NSDC Secretary added.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that the ministry plans to vaccinate against coronavirus at least 60% of adults in Ukraine until the end of 2021 as Ukraine 24 reported.

“Until the end of the year we should vaccinate at least 60% of adults at the age over 18. If we have sufficient number of vaccines; the countries will stop to disappoint us, or, fulfill contracts – the world has never faced when the countries block the supplies of the vaccines, despite all signed contracts,” the minister said.
