On January 23-24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will pay a working visit to the State of Israel in order to participate in commemorative events at the Holocaust World Forum dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.
The program of the visit also includes negotiations with Israel’s leadership and a meeting with representatives of Israeli business circles.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine and Israel have good relations, The Times of Israel informed.
"I think we have good relations. For example, my own relationship with Netanyahu: I met him in Ukraine; he made an official visit here. We spoke. I know your government is being created right now. I know he’s busy right now," Zelensky said.
He recalled that many Ukrainian Jewish people had helped to build new Israel.
It is also worth mentioning that Israel could act as a mediator in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said this during his meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
