Zelensky to dismiss 13 governors and appoint new chairmen

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky intends to dismiss 13 chairmen of regional state administrations soon. He wants to agree on the candidacy of new 13 governors with the Cabinet of Ministers as Ukrainian News reported citing the source.

According to him, the dismissal of 13 governors will take place soon. “The candidacies of new governors are still discussed,” the message said.

Any other details were reported.

Ukraine’s PM Groysman wrote the resignation letter, dated May 20. He said he would resign on Wednesday, May 22. Groysman headed Ukraine’s Government since April 14, 2016.

However, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to dismiss PM Volodymyr Groysman.

Besides, Oleksandr Turchynov, the National Security and Defense Secretary officially resigned on May 17Oleksandr Turchynov held the post since December 2014. Before he worked in the Verkhovna Rada, he was Acting President of Ukraine in spring, 2014.

As we reported that Zelensky submitted the draft law on impeachment to the consideration. Later it was registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
