Zelensky sums up negotiations with PM Netanyahu: 'It was a historic meeting'

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky summed up the results of negotiations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling the meeting historic. Zelensky shared his impressions on Facebook.

“It was a historic meeting. The first visit of an Israeli leader to Ukrainian land in many years. I’m very glad to meet Benjamin Netanyahu, in whom I felt a reliable partner and friend of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

He noted that he and Netanyahu have something to learn from each other.

Ukraine's president stressed that Israel will always be an example of how to protect their land and protect the lives of their fighters and their citizens.

According to him, cooperation between Ukraine and Israel is reaching a new level: firstly, the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement by the new composition of the Knesset is expected, and secondly, four important documents have been signed that will expand contacts between Ukraine and Israel in education, culture, sports, and the agricultural sector. Thirdly, Israeli companies are invited to work in Ukraine.

As reported before, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on a working visit to Kyiv on August 19.
