President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he is going to invite U.S. President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office in their Telegram channel.
"I expect that we will definitely invite U.S. President Trump, this has not happened for many years, and, as they say in English, it's the time to visit Ukraine, so we expect that we will agree on a visit," Zelensky said.
The head of state also noted that he did not want to fly around the countries himself, but that the leaders of the countries come to Ukraine.
“We must believe, first of all, not the words, but our eyes. Therefore, I really want to invite and we invite everyone, and everyone wants, by the way, everyone expects an invitation from us, and as when I ask if they want to come to us, everyone is eager to come," the President added.
Zelensky noted that high-ranking American and European leaders will visit Ukraine in the coming year or two.
As we reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting in New York to participate in the 74th UN General Assembly. He was reported to have a big one-hour meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump as part of his working visit to the US.
Volodymyr Zelensky will perform with a speech during the general debates of the UN General Assembly, as well as participate in the Sustainable Development Goals Summit.
Besides, the President would have the number of bilateral meetings with foreign state leaders.
Zelensky’s program also includes the meetings with the leaders of the Ukrainian Community in the USA and business representatives.
