President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially announced the last three questions for the all-Ukrainian poll, which will take place on October 25. The video was published by the president’s press service.

Yes, Ukrainians will be asked whether it is necessary:

  • to reduce the number of MPs in the Verkhovna Rada from 450 to 300;
  • to legalize medical cannabis in the country in order to reduce the pain of critically ill patients;
  • to raise the issue of using the security guarantees set out in the Budapest Memorandum in order to restore Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The first two questions will consider the issue of life imprisonment for corruption crimes and the creation of a free economic zone in Donbas.

As we reported earlier, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine, this poll is not going to have any legal consequences.

"The nationwide poll proposed by the President will give every citizen an opportunity to express what is really important for our society so that public opinion can be attested at the state level without its adjustment by various ‘experts’ and politicians with more than 20 years of experience in manipulating people's expectations. That is, the state asks direct questions to society and receives direct answers without intermediaries," the statement said.
