President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky fired the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Serhiy Kozyr and appointed Hennadiy Lahuta to this position, as mentioned in presidential decrees № 552/2021 and № 553/2021.
Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Serhiy Kozyr is dismissed in accordance with this resignation. Hennadiy Lahuta, the current Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, was appointed instead of Kozyr by Decree № 553/2021.
Kherson Online writes that at a briefing, the new chairman of the regional state administration declared he withdraws his candidacy from by-elections to the Ukrainian Parliament.
As reported, the Servant of the People party nominated Kozyr as a candidate in the 184th constituency in the by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada, which will take place on October 31, 2021.
Hennadiy Lahuta was registered by the Central Election Commission of Ukraine as the candidate in Members of Parliament in the 184th constituency.
