President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged his responsibility for the land reform and promised to complete it. He made this statement in an interview with Bloomberg, according to his press service.
"Land reform is a reform of both the president and the government - we are all responsible. It is the most difficult reform because for almost 30 years no one could even begin the discussion of the bill in committees. We will complete this reform," Zelensky assured.
He noted that voting for the land market bill in the second reading was only the first stage of land reform. In the future, it is necessary to adopt a law on the referendum and to regulate land cadasters.
Zelensky is convinced that, despite the resistance of the opposition, the law on the agricultural land sale market will be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
As we reported earlier, according to Davyd Arakhamia, chairman of the Servant of the People’s parliamentary faction, the final voting on the land market bill will be held in April.
