The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he had not fully read the article by Russian President Vladimir Putin about Ukraine. But he supported the decision to publish it in Ukrainian. Zelensky said this in a comment to journalists at Ukraine 30 forum.
"I believe that if the Russian President has already started writing in Ukrainian, then we are doing everything right ... I support this decision," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president also noted that Putin had worked hard on the issue, and spent a lot of time studying the topic.
"I did not have time to read the whole article, because yesterday I had important meetings. But in the parts I read, I saw a lot of work. Indeed, the President of the Russian Federation spent a lot of time, because there is a lot of archival work. I can only envy that the president of such a great state can spend so much time on such a detailed work," he added.
Zelensky also stressed that some of the points the Russian president wrote about could be discussed at a bilateral meeting.
In addition, the head of the Ukrainian state promised to analyze the article and respond.
As it was reported earlier, on July 12, the Kremlin's website published an article by Russian President Vladimir Putin On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians.
