The bilateral meeting of leaders of Ukraine and Russia is scheduled for today, December 9. This is supposed to take place after the meeting in the Normandy format. TASS news agency reported that with a reference to a source.
"The meeting of Putin and Zelensky is planned in the Élysée Palace after the meeting in the Normandy format and the joint press conference of the four leaders", the source said.
Today's meeting of Normandy Four leaders is the first one over the past three years. Paris will host the gathering of Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia's Vladimir Putin, French leader Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Zelensky will meet with Putin and Merkel separately.
The Normandy Four leaders will discuss several crucial questions, such as the return of all Ukrainian prisoners, the ceasefire, the control over Ukraine-Russia border and the local elections in the occupied part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
