Public places management should be held accountable for visitors to comply with anti-epidemic measures. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a traditional conference call to prevent the spread of coronavirus, reports the President's Office.
Over the week, the incidence rate in Ukraine has increased, now the number of patients is 44 people per 100 000, and last week this indicator was 38 people per 100 000.
Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov plans to visit Lviv and Zakarpattya regions. These regions are among the leaders in terms of the number of infected. The Minister noted that the situation with the incidence in Zakarpattya is worrying. He does not exclude that this region will have to prepare for the introduction of additional restrictions which may be imposed for one week.
The government held meetings with the heads of regional state administrations and the mayors of those regions where the highest incidence rates were recorded, as well as increased communication with the population.
Next week, intensified inspections of public catering and transport institutions will begin to comply with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
"If the institutions do not ensure that people are in masks, that the distance is observed, they should be held accountable for this. Public places must comply with the epidemiological requirements during quarantine," the President emphasized.
Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov reported that more than 2.5 thousand inspections of public transport were carried out. 703 violations were identified due to non-compliance with security measures, vehicle malfunctions and problems with licenses.
As reported, the Public Health Center of Ukraine recommended using a mask on the beaches, if there is no way to keep a distance.
