President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited the Norwegians to Ukraine for gas production. He expressed such a proposal at a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Office of the President of Ukraine reported this.

"We would be happy to invite you to gas production. We have deposits, but we lack the necessary technologies. This is not just a business interest, it is a geopolitical issue," Zelensky said.

In addition, the parties talked about attracting investors from Norway to infrastructure and humanitarian projects to restore Donbas. But Solberg noted that Ukraine is interesting for Norwegian business thanks to report on increasing the transparency of work and anti-corruption measures.

The parties also spoke about the development of alternative energy and the importance of maintaining a high level of relations between the countries.

The ambassador hopes that Zelensky will visit China and meet the representatives of the People's Republic of China during his presidency until 2024.

“I can say with the utmost certainty that during the presidency of Volodymyr Zelensky he will definitely pay the official visit to China,” Du Wei said.

However, the ambassador could not announce particular dates of the possible visit of Zelensky to China.

He also added that he has good relations with Ukraine’s president and the Office of the President and reminded that he met Zelensky before the inauguration.
