In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Vice-President of the European Commission for Interinstitutional Relations Maroš Šefčovič the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 2nd degree. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
"Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the Vice-President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 2nd degree," the statement said.
According to the text of the decree, Šefčovič was awarded for "significant personal contribution to strengthening Ukraine's international prestige, development of interstate cooperation, and fruitful public activities."
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's partners from the European Union assured that nothing threatened the visa-free regime and that Ukrainian citizens would again be able to travel to EU countries as soon as the epidemic situation allowed.
"We welcomed the continued successful implementation of the visa-free regime for the citizens of Ukraine. We underlined the importance of continuing to fulfill the visa liberalization benchmarks and accelerating related reform efforts. We looked forward to the resumption of the normal travel opportunities for our citizens, once epidemiological conditions allow," reads the message.
